(Schloss Fürstenried, Munich, Germany)
We’re training at this beautiful former palace all week. It’s been a great time with an amazing group of young staff. They’re from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, and Colorado. We’ll meet five more times over the next two years. I love my job!
I realize it’s been a long time since my last post. You see…I’ve been…waiting. And waiting, for closure. Thought you might like to know the results. Actually, it’s been so long you might need to look back at the last post just to see what the heck I’m talking about. So here it is. My husband and the belongings we shipped from Germany made it safely to Texas! Yay! My lab results in August were unchanged from May, in my case, good news. As for my novel, it did not place first in the contest, but will forever remain a finalist. This will look good on a query letter, etc. So not too bad after all. The agent said no. My first rejection, but certainly not my last. I will spend part of October sending out more letters, and I will not lose hope! Last, but not least, my Land Cruiser remains in the shop. However, since I am not there to drive it I can think of no better place for Dr. Livingstone to remain than with Stuart.
Whew, there you have it. Done and done.
We’ll be heading to Prague on Monday and train across the Czech Republic. I love my job! Did I say that already? I’ll post a picture or two from that beautiful country. Maybe one from the train. I promise not to wait so long for the next post. Really, I do. We’ll talk again soon.
